Learning Disabilities
A person has a learning disability if they can’t understand the information they are given as well as other people. People with learning disabilities often have trouble communicating, which can make it hard for them to be as independent as they want to be.
Also, people who have learning disabilities often struggle with day-to-day activities such as managing a household budget, completing chores around the house, and even interacting with others.
BZ for Care has a multidisciplinary team that cares for and supports individuals within our care to reach their goals. Our approach aims to provide a number of therapeutic and positive behavioural supports in order for individuals to live an independent life. We have 1:1 sessions and also provide group sessions that assist with communication skills as well as nurturing social skills.
We have a person-centred and holistic approach that allows individuals within our care to achieve goals that are meaningful to them. This includes activities that balance leisure, productivity, and self-care.

BZ for Care believes that it is important for everyone to have a purpose despite any challenge or condition they have. We have vocational and learning activities in place where individuals we support and care for can learn new skills and develop themselves.
We continuously do assessments to meet any changing needs and monitor the progress of the individuals we care for and support. These assessments will involve the individual we support, their family, and the professionals responsible for their care and support. We will then review outcomes, set new roles, and reassess the care and support we offer.
